In this short article, we will share with you resources that you can use to design workshops about well-being, body awareness, emotional awareness, and communication.
We dedicated the last 6 years to working with people – young and adults. In our experience, one important need in our groups is the need of awareness. Our lives are sometimes so intense and full of thoughts and emotions, that it can be a challenge to find a moment to pause, notice our behaviours, reflect & allow movements that will lead us in the desired direction.
With our colleagues from 5 European organisations, we designed a step-by-step methodology that will support you, as an educator, to design and guide workshops that focus on awareness, well-being and connection (check the top of the page to download the book). In our “Don’t Worry, Be You” Guidebook, you will also find some tips on how to prepare yourself as an educator – your own state, presence and confidence.
Our methodology is shaped in 6 main steps:
1. Body Awareness Practices (connecting to sensations, presence, movement, consesnt, etc.)
2. Emotional Awareness Practices (noticing emotions, building vocabulary, regulating emotions)
3. Communication Awareness (communication styles, NLP models)
4. Accountability (taking ownership, cooperation, impact)
5. Motivation (connecting to needs and purpose)
6. Resilience (confidence, self-esteem, growth after traumatic moments)
This Guidebook is ideal for you if you work with people and you want to design impactful, engaging and dynamic sessions. It is a great tool both for junior trainers and experienced facilitators.
In the “Don’t Worry, Be You” project you will find:
* self-evaluation tools for learners to use in the beginning of each session
* theoretical frames and models to back your experiential processes
* concrete practices and activities that you can apply to your work on a daily basis
* reflection exerscises
* tips and tricks for you as a facilitator that will boost your confidence
We wish you a pleasent read and connect with us if you have questions or ideas!
